This Halloween, plan to be spooked as Temple Parks & Recreation hosts another spooktacular Haunted Hayride on Saturday, October 27th on the grounds of Reuben D. Talasek Bend of the River (7915 S. General Bruce Dr.). Family friendly hayrides will take place from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. with very haunted hayrides from 6:00pm-10:00pm, once the sun goes down. There will also be food vendors on site selling a variety of treats.
“Due to the popularity of the hayride in years past, we are now able to add the early afternoon rides in hopes of allowing families the chance to enjoy a Halloween Hayride without it being too scary,” said Belinda Garcia, Program Coordinator for Temple Parks & Recreation. “This is a great family event and we invite ghosts and goblins of all ages to come out for some Halloween fun!”
Climb aboard the Haunted Hayride as you are taken on a spooky, narrated tour throughout a park inhabited by creepy characters and spooky scenes. Cost $5 per person (All tickets subject to applicable service charges) for rides beginning before 5:00 p.m. and $7 for the Haunted Hayrides beginning at 6:00 p.m. Tickets may be purchased online at TempleParks.com, where guests may select the ride time of their choice. Tickets may also be purchased at the gate for $9 per person, but tickets do not guarantee a specific ride time. Children under two are free. Concessions are purchased on your own.
If you are a family, company, organization, or volunteer that would like to create a Halloween scene along the hayride route, please contact Belinda Garcia at 254-298-5733 or firstname.lastname@example.org
