F.O.G. (Fats, Oils & Grease)

Fats, Oils & Grease (F.O.G.) comes from preparing food in residential homes as well as food manufacturing sites, aka restaurants.  F.O.G. is also generated at car wash facilities and auto repair shops.

F.O.G. consists of meat fats, lard, cooking oils, shortening, butter/margarine, food scraps, baking goods, sauces/salad dressings and dairy products.  Motor oils and grease from car washes and auto repair locations are also considered F.O.G.

Improperly disposing of FOG down the drain can cause blockages in your wastewater system, resulting in sanitary sewer overflows (SSO's).
