City of Temple Announces Tool Drive for Tool Library

The City of Temple Community Development Office is very excited to announce the implementation of Temple’s Tool Library set to have a grand opening in early January 2017, as part of a partnership with the Temple Public Library, United Way of Central Texas and Transform Temple. The Tool Library is a tool lending program designed to empower residents through repair and maintenance of their properties, allowing them to maintain a feeling of independence and dignity while building a stronger, safer and more stable community. The tool lending concept is identical to that of a book lending library, but instead of books, we will lend tools.

Please consider donating new or gently used tools to give them new life with someone that can put them to use and help us build our tool inventory. Unfortunately, we cannot accept broken or heavily rusted tools, hardware, nuts, bolts and nails.
