Headlining Act Announced for the 2017 Bloomin’ Temple Festival

Temple Parks & Recreation is pleased to announce that Whiskey Myers, will perform on the Mac Haik Stage as Friday’s headlining musical act at the 12th Annual Bloomin’ Temple Festival presented by H-E-B.

Whiskey Myers’ music is heavily influenced by country music, although doesn’t fit neatly into any genre. The band credits everything from Alan Jackson and Waylon Jennings to Led Zeppelin and Nirvana as inspiration. Over two whirlwind years, the gritty Texas band hit #1 on the iTunes Country Chart with their breakout third album Early Morning Shakes, earned rave reviews from Rolling Stone to USA Today, and toured the US and UK relentlessly, slaying massive festival crowds. Fueled by larger-than-life performances honed tight from countless nights on the road, the band’s latest album, MUD,  was released in September 2016.

The 2017 Bloomin’ Temple Festival presented by H-E-B will be held near E. Central Avenue and S. 4th Street in downtown Temple on Friday, April 28th and Saturday, April 29th. The festival will feature all day entertainment, two musical stages, over 20 bands featuring acts in Hip Hop, Tejano, Red Dirt, and Country Music, a Kid’s Zone, carnival, vendors, food trucks & more!
