Temple CVB Celebrates Texas Tourism

In recognition of the Texas travel industry and its important contribution to the economy of Texas, Gov. Greg Abbott has proclaimed May 7-13 National Travel and Tourism Week. He is urging Texas cities to promote tourism awareness in their respective communities.

Temple will join in this celebration with an entire month of activities designed to promote the wonderful treasures of this community.

  • The Annual Temple Photo Challenge will be held throughout the month of May. Photos can be submitted by email or through the CVB Facebook page. All photos must highlight what makes Temple uniquely special. Voting will begin on Thursday June 1st, 2017. The winner will be announced Friday June 9th 2017.
  • How well do you know Temple Texas?? Follow us at for a daily Facebook Temple Trivia question during National Travel and Tourism week. Questions will post every day at 10am. We will be testing your Temple knowledge. Share your trivia answer in the comments daily and we will randomly choose a winner from the correct answers!
  • Describe Temple in 6 words or less on our Facebook page for a chance to win some Temple swag. Winners will be announced on June 9th 2017.
  • Planning the perfect day in Temple just got much easier! “Tourism has long been recognized as an economic development tool that generates revenue and jobs,” said Nancy Glover, Temple Convention and Visitor Center Manager. “Our citizens are encouraged to take part in the month’s activities as we promote the tourism professionals and attractions in our community. They truly do have a positive impact on Temple’s economy.”
