Annual Halloween Haunted Hayride Event Seeks Volunteers

This Halloween, Temple Parks & Recreation seeks volunteers to help create a fun and frightening experience at the annual Haunted Hayride event taking place on the grounds of Bend of the River (7915 S. General Bruce Dr.). This spook-tacular event will take place on Saturday, October 28th from 3:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. and will feature food vendors, family friendly activities, and of course, haunted hayrides.

Volunteers are needed to dress up as spooky characters to create live action scenes along the hayride route. Organizations, businesses, clubs, families and individuals are all welcome to participate. A willingness to dress up and have a good time is the only requirement.

“There is a lot of ground to cover at Bend Of The River, so we need quite a few volunteers to make this event happen,” said Belinda Garcia, Temple Parks & Recreation Program Coordinator. “If you love to act and would like to participate, alone or as part of a group, by creating a spooky Halloween scene along the trail, we would love to have you. It is going to be a lot of fun for both the actors and the guests.”

For additional details or to volunteer, please contact Belinda Garcia at 254-298-5733.
