Downtown Dumpsters Get a Facelift

Thanks to the creativity and hard work of a group of Temple High School students, the alleyways in Downtown Temple are much more visually appealing.

“Over the course of the school year, these talented students were given an assignment to beautify the dumpsters in Downtown Temple. The results were amazing!” said Nancy Glover, Temple’s CVB Manager. “We have been trying to add more art elements to the downtown area and now have these beautiful new pieces. Each one is unique and shows the artistic vision of the group of students who participated. We encourage Temple residents to come downtown and take a look!”

Students who participated in the project are:

•    Alvin Atkinson
•    Keneisha Bailey
•    Arryon Blocker
•    Adrian Cantu
•    Kennedy Cox
•    Marina Dorame
•    Abigail Flores
•    Sebastian Galindo
•    Jahir Gandara

•    Davinesha Lockett
•    Cain Lopez

“We would also like to thank the Temple Independent School district, and, especially, Ms. Veronica Landers, Temple High School Visual Arts,” Glover added. “The project could not have been done without her support!”
