Downtown Parking Enforcement

Enforcement will begin November 4, 2019


What to Expect: 

Parking in Downtown Temple will be monitored daily to ensure safety and accessibility for all visitors and residents.

The Process: 

• Week 1 & 2 - Education will take place and reminders will be given to parking violators
• Week 3 & 4 - Warnings will be given to parking violators
• After the educational period, tickets will be given to parking violators

Reminders About Downtown Parking:

  • “2 Hour Parking” signs indicate zones where enforcement will occur
  • Vehicles must be parked within the lines for the parking spot
  • No backing into angled parking spots
  • Parallel parking spots require right-side tires to be within 18 inches of the curb
  • Parking in/blocking alleyways is prohibited
  • Parking in Loading Zones is prohibited
  • Parking in Valet Zones is prohibited
